Every summer, we set aside some days just for the
purpose of reaching out into our community.
For those who come, it is a week filled with worship, music, crafts,
Bible stories, snacks and lots
of love.
• Vacation Bible School 2010:
I know it is only November, but it is never too early to begin thinking
about Vacation Bible School.
This year in an effort to help with the expense of VBS, we are asking people now
to begin collecting things to decorate.
The theme this year is a western theme, “Saddle Ridge Ranch”. With many of you
living on farms, and having horses,
it should be easy to come up with decorations that will not be a cost to us.
This would leave money for teaching materials,
crafts, recreation and snacks. Our VBS budgeted amount was cut, and it is always
very difficult to stay within the budgeted
amount for Bible School. So, anytime throughout the year, until June, when you
see something western grab it and save it for
VBS. Also, we will be selecting the date soon so everyone can mark their
calendars now to avoid any conflicts in your calendars.
